Erika Eliseth Orantes Hernandez
Erika is in her 3rd year of studying towards a degree in Science at the Universidad Pedagogica. She is due to graduate in 2020.

Erika has maintained a responsible attitude and her grades reflect her interest in continuing her education.
Area of Opportunity/Improvement:
Her work schedule (cleaning homes) prevents Erika from carrying out social projects, attending workshops or visiting her family.
What Erika Has Learned This Year:
Erika has made good use of the technology that is available to her to complete all of her tasks and as a tool for teaching.
Noel Enrique Santos Juarez
Noel is in his first year of college at the Universidad Luterania and is hoping to graduate in 2023 with a degree in Business Administration.

Positive Feedback From Instructors:
Since the beginning of the program, Noel has shown a responsible attitude when asked to perform an activity. In spite of how difficult the first cycle has been, he was able to pass 90% of his subjects.
Areas of Opportunity/Improvement:
He is very shy and his lack of enthusiasm sometimes prevents him from following directions if he is not doing well in a subject.
What Noel Has Learned This Year:
Noel has gained a good understanding of general accounting principles and how to develop a strategic plan for effective teamwork in companies. In Psychology, he also learned to understand the behavior of people, which has helped him socialize with his colleagues.
Jessica Idalia Gómez Tejada
In her first year of study at the Universidad Luterania, Jessica Idalia is studying Social Work and is looking forward to graduating in 2023.

What Jessica Has Learned So Far This Year:
Jessica has learned the true meaning of the career she is pursuing. She has learned about philosophy and sociology by asking questions to understand the problems and their causes tied to the interrelation of people.
Jessica Yamileth
Servellon
Jessica Yamileth is in her first year of study at the Universidad Luterania, focusing on Legal Sciences. Her anticipated graduation is for 2023.

Jessica is responsible and her plans/objectives are realistic. She is balancing her responsibilities. It is evident in her conduct that she is growing and taking advantage of all opportunities.

Because Jessica works at a sweatshop, she has very little availability due to her work schedule and is paid very little.
What Jessica Has Learned So Far This Year:
Jessica has learned the history of law, capitalism, the different types of law, and the history of El Salvador. It has been a very enriching year for her so far.
Ingrid Noemi Hernández Campos
Attending her first year of high school at San Rafael Obrajuelo, Ingrid’s studies are focused on Accounting, with an anticipated graduation date in 2020.

Positive Feedback From Instructors:
Ingrid is a calm, responsible and engaging student. She works hard to fulfill all of her responsibilities and obligations, and does a good job balancing her work and studies.
Areas of Opportunity/Improvement:
Her shyness can prevent her from expressing herself freely. Ingrid must work to improve her lower grades.
What Ingrid Has Learned So Far This Year:
Ingrid has learned, among other things, how to graph statistical information, acquired knowledge about the conflicts that have occurred in El Salvador, and to be more creative.
Brayan Javier Servellon Cubias
In his first year of study at San Rafael Obrajuelo, Brayan's studies are focused on Accounting and he is scheduled to graduate in 2020.

Positive Feedback From Instructors:
Brayan is very enthusiastic, motivated and engaging. He likes challenges and although his studies are complicated, he is working hard to improve.
Areas of Opportunity/Improvement:
Sometimes Brayan can be distracted and lazy. His first semester grades are quite low compared to the other students.
What Brayan Has Learned So Far This Year:
Brayan was learned to improve his writing and spelling. He has also studied the functions of algebraic exercises, as well as how to carry out research.
Mayra Ermelinda Guzmán Coreas
In her final year of high school at San Rafael Obrajuelo, Mayra is scheduled to graduate this year with a focus on accounting.

Positive Feedback From Instructors:
She is a responsible young woman and actively participates in her studies. Since becoming part of the program, she has shown interest in overcoming her challenges and takes her responsibilities seriously.
Areas of Opportunity/Improvement:
Mayra is very serious and this sometimes prevents her from being social with her peers.
What Mayra Has Learned So Far This Year:
Her knowledge of the field of accounting has greatly improved to include production processes, methods of material control, creating statements of production costs, how to determine pricing, income and family expenses, and the benefits and disadvantages of Free Trade Agreements.
Erick Alexander Orantes Estrada
Erik is in the first of two years as a distance learner of C.E. Anastacio Aquino High School. He is scheduled to graduate in 2019.

· Social Studies & Civics= 86%
· Foreign Language= 74%

Positive Feedback From Instructors:
Erik is a young man with a high degree of responsibility, is very sociable, engaging, and humble. He is very supportive and although a bit shy, doesn’t allow this to prevent him from doing what needs to be done.
Areas of Opportunity/Improvement:
He is timid and sometimes does not understand why he must provide a more thorough explanation.
What Erik Has Learned So Far This Year:
Erik has learned to improve his attitude and to work on his fear of speaking in public. He is also studying his family tree and to socialize with his peers.
Sonia Margarita Gómez Hernández
With an anticipated graduation date of 2019, Sonia is in the first half of her two-year distance educational journey at C.E. Anastacio Aquino High School.

She is always willing to work and to attend any meeting requested.
Areas of Opportunity/Improvement:
Sonia is very shy. However, although she may not completely understand, this does not prevent her from sharing her opinion with others in meetings.
What Sonia Has Learned So Far This Year:
In some subjects, Sonia has learned to organize a topic and how to teach. She feels she has limited knowledge in mathematics due to the teacher. Sonia has also learned about the pros and cons of globalization, as well as transculturalization.
Carlos Alfredo Gúzman
Carlos is in the first of his two-year distance-learning journey at Jorge Shakik Handal High School.
He is expected to graduate in 2019.

Positive Feedback From Instructors:
An engaging and sometimes responsible young man, his desire to excel is evident and he is always willing to help.
Areas of Opportunity/Improvement:
Carlos can be demanding and does not provide feedback or give his opinion and has a hard time understanding what he’s told.
What Carlos Has Learned So Far This Year:
He has a clearer knowledge of the national armed conflict, the two world wars, and the subsequent Cold War.
As you can see, our students have grown this year and learned so much. This opportunity has given them the opportunity to learn about their place in the world.
