Where We Work
Rural La Paz - El Salvador
Caminos de Accion has worked in El Salvador since 2012. We initially began with just the communities of Tehuiste Arriba and Tehuiste Abajo. Over the years, we have branched out to other surrounding communities in the rural La Paz area that have shown interest in our programs. To find where we started, look for the village Tehuiste on Google Maps in the La Paz department of El Salvador, you have to find the two country roads that converge between San Rafael Obrajuelo and San Juan Nonualco. Somewhere in that unmarked land are the two joint communities of Tehuiste Abajo and Tehuiste Arriba or Los Tehuistes.
Today, 150 families call Los Tehuistes home and together we’re overcoming barriers to empower individuals and build a brighter future. We are still expanding our programs to the surrounding communities.

We work in 5 communities in rural El Salvador through our Knowledge is Power and Farming for the Future Program and have brought clean water to each community.
60+ Youth Empowered
Our scholarship program empowers youth to reach for their dreams and become agents of change in their community. We currently have 30 students and 33 program graduates.
14+ Years in the Community
We have worked in solidarity with our friends in Los Tehuistes since 2012.
